Growth Creates Happiness

Here’s hoping that you had an amazing week and are looking forward to a fun & restful weekend!

OK…so I can get inspired by virtually anything and find a nugget to share. I believe it’s because I am a clear channel that Spirit uses to inspire growth & happiness in my beautiful tribe.

I am almost finished reading this very boldly entitled book 'The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*CK' by Mark Manson. Although I do not agree completely with Mark's perspective, I find a few of his points quite enlightening.

In particular, the idea that we need to rethink our values, as the wrong values can set us up for a lifetime of disappointment. By shifting WHAT we value, we can actually learn to lead lives of purpose and happiness.

He believes that GROWTH brings more joy in the long run over amassing THINGS and accomplishing LOFTY goals simply to get outside approval of our worthiness. We give our power away when we base our happiness on ‘Arbitrary Achievements’.

Another author, Jim Rohn, believes that we can only attract success to the degree to which we experience our own growth/personal development.

Personal development is one of the dearest values I hold as a Coach. I have been blessed with the privilege of watching miracle after miracle happen in my practice, as my clients shed their old disempowered beliefs/values and take on new empowered ones to replace them.

I personally led a very glamorous yet very ‘ego-control-perfection’ based life during the 27 year duration of my two previous inauthentic careers. I had some really shaky values back then. I am not the same person now. Small shifts in values can create miracles! It brings me SUCH joy & comfort to think that my ROCKSTAR clients need not suffer as long as I did.

I wish for you the kind of life that when you reach the end of it you can say that it was truly a life well spent on what mattered in a BIG way, in your heart & soul!
